From the aspect of physical work needed, modern living is far easier than it was just a few decades ago. We live longer and faster; our work is done effortlessly, with very little physical exertion; information is easily accessible and problems are easily solved; health care is much better as are living conditions. However, the number of people suffering from deteriorated health, exhaustion and depression is steadily growing.
Dissatisfaction with one’s own health, fitness, performance and efficiency is nowadays a common phenomenon in the general population and athletes alike. Due to a superficial and one-dimensional understanding of these issues, people usually resort to rapid solutions that are, from a long-term perspective, ineffective. That makes people even more dissatisfied, thus the issues are further aggravated – and the vicious circle has been created.
Is there any solution? Yes – a solution exists, and its name is the MOTUS MELIOR METHOD. This unique concept enables us to analyse and manage the status of health, fitness and performance of the general population and athletes. The rationale behind the concept is the fact that the described issues most often have their roots in three groups of factors:
Every client is lead through these three interdependent stages:
The first stage consists of obtaining a holistic insight into the person’s momentary condition – his/her health status, level of fitness and performance, habits, behaviour, and the effects of traumas previously sustained. During this five-day stage of data collection and their processing, the client is obliged to pay two two-hour visits to the MM Centre.
The second stage includes the prescription, execution and monitoring of the personally tailored intervention, the goal of which is to transform person’s habits and behaviour patterns that have the greatest potential to, when changed, positively influence the optimisation of our client’s health, fitness and performance. Several experts of various specialisations are involved in the process of management, the contents of which may include the following, depending on the person’s initial status and his/her goals:
The third stage is a six-month follow-up of the person’s condition complemented by the adequate modifications of the prescribed intervention until the transformed behaviour patterns become well-established habits.
