Non-specific pain syndrommes
Do you suffer from any acute or chronic musculo-skeletal pain in the background of which there is no tissue degeneration or injury to any anatomical structure? You are not alone. In the background of numerous pain syndromes of the locomotor system no injury or tissue damage can be found. That fact considerably complicates the permanent eradication of any pain syndrome.
As many as eight in ten people experience at least one painful episode in the neck or lumbar back (small of the back) during their lifetime, and a significant portion of the painful episodes are recurrent and/or develop into chronic pain. Not infrequently in those segments of the spine, the problems will spread to an arm (cervicobrachial syndrome), or leg (sciatica). In a few cases, the symptoms are caused by specific pathologies, such as disc herniation, spinal canal stenosis, osteroarthritis, or spondylolisthesis. A very small percentage of patients (about 5%) require surgical treatment, whereas non-surgical treatment is appropriate for most patients.
However, clinical evidence on the effectiveness of conservative methods of treating back pain and back pain is limited, and one of the main reasons for this is the fact that the source of the pain and the mechanism of its origin are not completely clear. However, the link between pain sites and functional disorders in other parts of the body, including internal organs, is often neglected. For example, our experiences, and the experiences of similar centers around the world, indicate a significant association of painful neck syndromes with somatic dysfunctions of the thoracic spine and chest, lungs, pleura, heart, teeth, sinuses, eyes, and even feet. Similarly, there is a significant correlation between, for example, somatic dysfunction of the digestive and urogenital systems and back pain. The aforementioned links can be established by detailed osteopathic and functional examination.
Our expert team of osteopaths, physical therapists and kinesitherapists has years of experience and high success in the conservative treatment of acute and chronic low back and neck pain. Almost every day we see patients with long-standing back or neck pain who have been unsuccessfully treated with available conservative methods. Therefore, if you suffer from such problems, please feel free to approach us with full confidence
